Since God’s heart beats for the world and His Word reflects His heart, it just makes sense to pray through scripture as we pray for the world. Here are some examples:

Romans 1:16 (ESV)
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…”

Prayer: God, may we share with boldness the good news that there is salvation found in Christ alone for everyone from all nations. May we proclaim it to the very ends of the earth.

John 3:16, (ESV)
“For God so loved the people living in McDonough, Griffin, Atlanta, San Diego, Miami, New Orleans and Ottawa, He loved the people in Panama City, Panama and the Tolupan of Honduras that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Mark 11:17 (ESV)
“And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.”

Prayer: Lord, may it be written that Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church faithfully prays that the nations will know you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
